About Me

I started reading psychology textbooks when I was 12 years old. These books began a quest for me to better understand the emotional and interpersonal struggles my friends and I were experiencing growing up. As time went on, it became clear that helping others manage the developmental and transitional challenges we all face was my life’s aspiration.

I was educated and trained as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtaining my Master’s Degree at Adelphi University. I started my career in 1998 in local community mental health clinics primarily servicing an underprivileged and disadvantaged population.  I went on to develop my first private practice on the East End of Long Island. Currently, I have offices in Long Island, Manhattan and Hoboken, N.J.

I have worked with a wide variety of clientele as well as received advanced training for those with food issues and eating disorders. For the past 10 years, I have primarily focused on working with those struggling with the termination of a romantic relationship. I offer individual counseling as well as group participation in my “Suddenly Single” group for both men and women.
